Our creature is a carnivore, so a strong set of teeth help it eat through its prey. The teeth can also serve as a defensive mechanism, to bite predators. A peacock’s tail is a representation of the peacock’s beauty. Similarly, the size and colour of the mane serves as a signals to other lions, regarding the male’s fitness. The mane on our creature will warn other nearby creatures to not get involved. During winter time in temperate grasslands, the temperature can drop to as low as -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The fur coat upon our creature’s body can help keep itself warm, rather than dying out in winter.
